Physical Therapy Services in Burlington, WA

At Quality Physical Therapy, providing physical therapy in Burlington, WA and Skagit County, we provide a variety of evidence-based services delivered one-on-one in private rooms at our clinic. Our services include, but are not limited to, the following:

Craniosacral Therapy

Craniosacral therapy is a method of detection and gentle correction of restrictions in your central nervous system. We use a light touch, generally no heavier than the weight of a nickel, to test for restrictions in the cranial system. Gentle movements are then used to facilitate your own natural healing mechanisms to unlock tension and relieve pain. This therapy has been remarkably effective in helping patients who fear they will never function pain-free again.

Myofascial Release

The fascial tissue is the vast system of connective tissue that contains, supports, connects and separates all the anatomical structures of your body. It is like a continuous web stretching from head to toe and from the inside core to the outside of your body. But outside force, trauma, or disease can cause disruption in the network which can produce symptoms anywhere in the system.

We use myofascial release, a technique of gently applied, sustained pressure to restricted connective tissues to release the restriction and restore flexibility to the system.

Back and Neck Pain

We recognize how severely chronic or acute back and neck pain can impact our patients’ quality of life and the importance of finding the source of the problem and using evidence-based treatments to get you back to your normally active life.

We take a manual-therapy, hands-on approach to solving these issues coupled with prescriptive exercises you can do at home between visits, so you can be a partner in your care.

We have acquired a reputation we are proud of for a number of successes we have had in helping patients who believed they would never be free of their chronic pain to recover and return to pain-free living.

Movement Retraining

Quality Physical Therapy has acquired a distinguished reputation for its success in helping to retrain patients to move more efficiently and with less pain. We work one-on-one with you to break painful movement patterns and help you regain the ability to do essential tasks like driving your car, putting dishes in the dishwasher or taking out the laundry from the dryer without sustaining pain.

Between clinic visits you will be given a customized home-exercise program that is specific to your injury and your needs. These exercises are designed to be easy to incorporate into any lifestyle on a daily basis, allowing you to have control over your own recovery.

Muscle and movement re-education is the goal for the exercise program developed for each patient.

Surgical Rehabilitation

Studies have shown that patients who receive physical therapy after any type of joint replacement surgery recover faster and more completely than those who do not.

We will work with your surgeon and physical to ensure that a comprehensive, customized program of physical therapy is designed for you following surgery to help you heal and aid in your rehabilitation.

Depending on the type of surgery, patients may benefit from a pre-operative program to strengthen, gain mobility and retrain poor movement patterns to improve the quality of post-op recovery.

Workplace injuries

Quality Physical Therapy is experienced in handling workplace injuries, working with your team of health-care providers to help you heal and regain movement after your injury. We will counsel you on at-home exercises you can perform between visits to regain your movement.

Our manual-therapy approach is effective in helping heal your pain and get back to work as quickly as possible.

Motor Vehicle Accident Injuries

We will customize a program of care and rehabilitation for you following a motor vehicle accident, working closely with your physician and/or surgeon.

Our goal is to help you safely regain your strength and movement without lingering issues or risk of re-injury

Sports Injuries

We know that you don’t want to be sidelined from your favorite sport for long.

After an injury, we will take the steps to help you heal faster and then strengthen the injured body part to ensure that you do not fall into a pattern of recurring injuries.

At the same time, we will furnish you with therapeutic exercises to be done at home between your visits to the clinic to help aid in your recovery.

Using our craniosacral therapy and myofascial release therapies, we are achieving considerable success in helping patients impacted by headaches and migraines.

As we work to find the source of your pain, we provide effective physical therapy to help you recover faster and prevent recurring symptoms.
